    Re: Deeds FTW!

    Should be quite interesting.

    Re: VA Gov. Race...

HOT SPRINGS, Va. (AP) - Differences over creating jobs set the
tone early in the first debate of the 2009 fall campaign for
governor between Republican Bob McDonnell and Democrat Creigh Deeds.

Deeds dodged questions from McDonnell about whether he would
call on congressional Democrats to oppose cap-and-trade energy
legislation intended to curb global warming.

McDonnell said the bill would harm Virginia?s coal industry and
    manufacturers statewide.

McDonnell, meanwhile, defended tax-slashing economic policies of
former President George W. Bush, policies that Deeds credited for
the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression.

Both candidates said issues such as gay rights, abortion and
school prayer would be marginal issues in their campaigns.

    ______________

I don't think any of those marginal issues are really up for debate here in VA. School prayer isn't, abortion isn't and wasn't there a vote on gay marriage 4-5 years ago - that'll never pass in VA unless it went to the courts, voters here would never vote in favor.

If you want to take a step back, vote for McDonnell, if you want to keep going forward, its deeds, endoresed by boucher, nuff said. McDonnell will not care about SWVA, as you know to most people, VA stops at Roanoke! Keep the progress in the Old Commonwealth going for 4 more years, Vote Deeds for Virginia, not McDonnell for northern and eastern VA!!!

Honistly I am not sure who I plan on voteing for yet however from that snipit however McDonnell being against cap and trade and Deeds being dodgy has me leaning hard toward McDonnell at this point......

McDonnell being elcted wouldn't be the end of the world, but I've supported Deeds for awhile and is big on education.

    Re: VA Gov. Race...

WASHINGTON (CNN) ? Virginia gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell will deliver Saturday's weekly Republican radio address, the Republican National Committee confirmed Tuesday.

The address ? usually delivered by a Republican member of Congress or sitting governor ? will cap off a week that has thrust the Virginia race in the national spotlight. On Thursday, President Obama will make his first campaign appearance with Democratic candidate Creigh Deeds in the northern Virginia suburb of Tyson's Corner.

McDonnell has also campaigned and raised money with a bevy of national figures, including Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and RNC chairman Michael Steele.

The race, considered the marquee political battle of 2009, is being fought over a number of national issues, particularly as McDonnell tries to link Deeds to the administration's contentious economic agenda.

Yep that's enough to show McDonnell is the one to vote for.

    Re: VA Gov. Race...

I will most likely vote for McDonnell.

You just reminded me that I need to go ahead and sign up for absentee voting before I go back to Kentucky in 3 weeks.

If it wasn't for Boucher, SWVA would be just one big Pound. His endorsement definitely holds some weight in this area, except the other way around.

What for, he comes running in after something is done and someone else has done all the work and says "look what I did",
